Islamic Republic of Iran Ministry of Energy National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company Rural Areas Wastewater Project Invitation for Prequalification of Contractors for Design & Build and Operate of Wastewater Collection and Treatment System for 24 villages in Northwest Zone (Zone 4) Mode of Financing: Istisna’a Financing No. IRN 0086 The National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank in the form of an Istisna'a financing toward the cost of Rural Areas Wastewater Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract for the construction of Wastewater Collection and Treatment System for Northwest Zone (Zone 4) for 24 Villages. The National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company intends to prequalify contractors for the: Design, Construction and Operation of Wastewater Systems including wastewater collection network, and treatment plants in prioritized village of zone 4. The project will be implemented through DBO (Design, Build and Operate) method in 24 villages in Northwest Zone (Zone 4). These villages, with total population of 63933 inhabitants, are located in 7 provinces of Ardebil, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah and Hamedan. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank Guidelines for Procurement of Works & Goods under IDB Financing (May 2009 Amended Feb 2012), which can also be found at the IDB website: www.isdb.org, and is limited to IDB member countries(ICB/MC) as defined in the guidelines. The Iranian firms must be in possession of grade 1 in water or grade 1 in design and construction of water and wastewater systems/installations.
