SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE (SPN) INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF GIRLS’ CAMPUS, ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY IN NIGER The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is managing the implementation of the Girls’ Campus of the Islamic University in Niger, in Niamey, the Capital City of the Republic of Niger, which is financed by a donation of Fael Khair Program. The Government of Niger has allocated a 117,324.5 m² piece of land, for this purpose. IsDB as the administrator of Fael Khair Program, intends to utilize part of the above mentioned donation for payments under the contract for the Construction of the Girls’ Campus, Islamic University In Niger (The Project), and intends, through the Consultant (Engineering Consultant Group (ECG), Egypt), to prequalify contractors and/or firms for the Construction of the Project. The total built-up area of the Project is about 64,500 m2 and the anticipated project is expected to accommodate 2,500 student. Interested applicants shall have strong and proven records in construction and capable of demonstrating sufficient technical, financial and managerial capabilities to undertake the execution of the Project. Applicants shall also have an annual value of construction turnover of not less than US$ 40 million, and shall have completed at least 2 projects in similar complexity and of value of not less than US$ 30 Million per project over the last 5 years, in addition to other projects. It is expected that invitations to bid will be issued by the end of 2016. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the Islamic Development Bank Guidelines for Procurement of Works & Goods under IDB Financing (May 2009 Amended Feb 2012), which can be found at the IDB website: www.isdb.org.
