Niassa Rural Electrification Project, Moçambique: Component C – Reticulation Works Mode of Financing: Financing No: Contract/Tender No.: ENC 2015/56 This Invitation for Tenders follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Jornal Noticias of 27th January 2016. The Government of Moçambique has received loans from the Islamic Development Fund (IDB), the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), and OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID towards the cost of the Niassa Rural Electrification Project: Component C – Reticulation Works, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payment under the contract for the construction of: (i) Lot 1 – 33kV Backbone Overhead Lines • Approximately 277km of 33kV back bone overhead lines • Approximately 83km of 33kV distribution overhead lines (ii) Lot 2 – Distribution Works • Approximately 197km of LV 0.4.0.23kV reticulation overhead lines including street lighting • Approximately 179 33/0.4kV Distribution Transformers Stations with transformers ranging from 50kVA to 200kVA units. • New Service Connections for about 25052 existing houses inclusive of split type pre-paid meters. Tendering will be governed by the IDB’s eligibility rules and procedures. Tendering will be conducted through the international competitive tendering procedures as specified in the IDB’s Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (current edition), and is open to all eligible tenderers as defined in the guidelines.
