SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION COUNTRY Republic of Kazakhstan PROJECT Reconstruction of the Aktobe-Makat Road Project ASSIGNMENT Procurement of Works MODE OF FINANCING Istisna’a Loan NO. KHZ-84/85 This invitation for prequalification follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared earlier in on website of the Ministry for Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan http://mid.gov.kz and website of Islamic Development Bank http://www.isdb.org , dated December 30, 2016. The Republic of Kazakhstan has received an approval for financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Reconstruction of the Aktobe-Makat Road project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing toward payments under the contract for reconstruction of the Aktobe-Makat road (three sections) with the total length of 149 km. Applicants may apply for one or more contracts. These contracts will be financed by IDB and the Government of Kazakhstan. It is expected that invitations for bid will be made on June, 2017. The Committee for Roads of the Ministry for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan (hereinafter “Committee”), intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for reconstruction of 149 km of an existing two-lane road sections as listed below: • Lot-1: Contract Ref.: IDB-ICB/CW-(W/1)-001/2017, km 11-52. Reconstruction of the road transferring from two lanes to four lanes at the section km 11-52 with total length of 41.0 km. • Lot-2: Contract Ref.: IDB-ICB/CW-(W/2)-001/2017, km 52-100. Reconstruction of the road transferring from two lanes to four lanes at the section km 52-100 with total length of 48.0 km. • Lot-3: Contract Ref.: IDB-ICB/CW-(W/3)-001/2017, km 100-160. Reconstruction of the road transferring from two lanes to four lanes at the section km 100-160 with total length of 60.0 km. Prequalification will be conducted through prequalification procedures specified in the IDB Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under IDB Financing, edition of May 2009, and is open to all bidders from IDB Member Countries as defined in the Guidelines. Interested eligible applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the Prequalification Document from the Committee (at the address below) from 9:30 to 18:00 hours, Astana time. A complete set of the prequalification documents in English can be received in hard copy or electronically upon submission of a written request to the Committee by an interested eligible Applicant signed by the authorized representative on the letterhead of the Applicant’s Company.
