1.         The Government of the Republic of The Gambia has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the Enhancing Value Addition in the Groundnut Sector Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of 3.5MW Cogeneration Power Plant and 45TPH Briquetting and Associated Civil Works.

 

2.         The Gambian Agency for the Management of Public Works (GAMWORKS) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Certification and Commissioning of a 3.5MW Cogeneration Power Plant and a 45TPH Briquetting Plant with Associated Civil Works.  The Goods will be delivered CIP based on INCOTERMS 2021, and commissioned at the GGC Main Factory, Denton Bridge, at Saaro, in The Gambia at the completion date of 525 days from signing of the Contract.

 

3.         Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding (ICB-Open) procedures as specified in IsDB’s Guidelines of Procurement of Goods, Works and related services under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing, 2019 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.18 -21 setting forth IsDB’s policy on conflict of interest.

 

4.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from GAMWORKS, Attention: Mrs. Ashyme Saine-Kah, email: iyees@gamworks.gm and inspect the bidding documents during office hours. 0800 to 1600 hours at the address given below.

 

5.         A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$100 (One Hundred United States Dollars).  The method of payment will be through Direct Deposit or Bank Draft to:

The document will be sent by email to the interested bidder after submission of the payment receipt.

 

6.         Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12:00 noon on Tuesday 21st September 2021.  Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted.  Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below at 12:10 on Tuesday 21st September 2021.  

7.         All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of US$100,000 One Hundred Thousand Dollars.
