The Micro Finance Support Centre has received a grant financing package in the amount of USD 180,000 (United States Dollar One Hundred Eighty Thousand) from the Islamic Development Bank toward the cost of the Strengthening Institutional Capacity in Islamic Microfinance in Uganda and intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for consultancy services to be procured under this project. This Project will be jointly financed by the Micro Finance Support Centre.

The project includes one major component:

 

Consultancy Services: For strengthening the institutional capacity of the MSC and its client institutions, through the provision of staff training and enhancement of operational

frameworks (products and services, operational manuals, processes and policies, risk and shariah governance, and core IT system). These services will be procured under Consultant’s Qualifications based Selection (CQS) from an international shortlist.

Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures specified under the Guidelines for the Procurement of Consultant Services under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing (April 2019, revised in February 2023) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.

Requests for Expression of Interest for contracts for consultancy services will be announced as soon as they become available on the IsDB Website and MSC website.
