GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE

 

THE HEALTH SYSTEM STRENGTHENING PROJECT, MOZAMBIQUE

1. The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in the amount equivalent of USD 19.500.000,00  toward the cost of the Health System Strengthening Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under the project.

 

2. The project will include the following components which will be procured under International Competitive Bidding (ICB), Quality Cost Based Selection from Member Country Shortlists (QCBS-MC), Least Cost Selection from Local shortlists (LCS-LC)   and National Competitive Bidding (NCB) among others.  Component A:  Works & Goods  
   0. 1.  :
   1. Civil works contracts for construction of Malema District Hospital
   2. Civil works contracts for construction of Lalaua District Hospital
   3. Electro-mechanical systems

2. Medical and Non-Medical Equipment and Furniture:
   1. Supply and installation of medical equipment
   2. Supply of hospital furniture and non-medical equipment

Component B.: Goods:

1.  

1. Supply of clinical simulation equipment
2. Supply of training materials and laboratory equipment
3. Supply of  ambulances/vehicles

Components C&D: Consultancy Services:

i) Design and Construction Supervision

ii) Financial Audit

 

3. Procurement of contracts financed by the Islamic Development Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Guidelines for Procurement of Goods and Works under Islamic Development Bank Financing (April 2019 edition, amended from time to time), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the Guidelines for the Use of Consultants under Islamic Development Bank Financing (April 2019, amended from time to time).

 

4. Specific Procurement Notices for contracts to be bid under International Compretitive Bidding (ICB) and for consultancy services will be announced   consultancy services will be published as they become available, in IsDB website, MISAU website, national newspapers, and other appropriate international platforms such as the DG Market and in the local newspapers of wider circulation in the country. .

 

5. Interested eligible bidders who wish to be included on the mailing list to receive invitations to bid and interested consultants who wish to receive a copy of advertisement requesting expressions of interest for consultancy contracts, or those requiring additional information, should contact the address below.
