Supply and installation of Medical Equipment, Medical & Surgical Instruments & Furniture to Al Sarafand Governmental Hospital in South Lebanon. (ICB No.: #/2025/ICB/Goods/CDR/IsDB)

 

SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

 

Financing No. LE-0078 (IsDB)

 

 

The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR), representing the Government of Lebanon and the Ministry of Public Health, has received financing from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) toward the cost of the “Procurement of Medical Equipment and Furniture for Al Sarafand Governmental Hospital in South Lebanon”, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments for the contracts under this project.

 

The CDR invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Procurement, Installation, Testing & commissioning of medical Equipment and Furniture for Al Sarafand Governmental Hospital. The Equipment are subdivided into two LOTS: LOT-I for Medical Equipment, and surgical instruments and LOT-II for Non-Medical Equipment / Furniture.

 

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in IsDB’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and related services under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing , and is open to all eligible bidders:

 

• For Lot-I, Established companies for a minimum of 5 years having the supply of medical equipment as a main activity. The Bidder should have managed contract for the supply and installment in hospitals over the past Ten (10) years of at least one similar project with similar equipment in Imaging (e.g. CT-Scan), Operation, Laboratory and CSSD with a minimum amount of: 3 MUSD  (Three Million US Dollars).

 

• For Lot-II, Established companies for a minimum of 5 years having the supply of Furniture as a main activity. The Bidder should have managed contract for the supply and installment over the past Ten (10) years of at least one project of similar scale and General Furniture with a minimum amount of : 250,000 USD (Two Hundred Fifty Thousand US Dollars).

 

and as defined in the Procurement Guidelines and as per the qualification criteria set in the Instruction to bidders.

 

A complete set of bidding documents in English (soft copy on CD) may be purchased by interested eligible bidders as of Friday July 31th, 2026, at the below address and upon the payment of a nonrefundable fee of Three Hundred US Dollars (USD 300), in Cash.

 

Bids must be delivered to the below address before 12 :00 noon, Beirut local time on Thursday September 10th, 2026. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.

 

Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at the offices of The Council for Development and Reconstruction immediately after 12:00 noon, Beirut local time on Thursday September 10th, 2026.

 

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 80,000 USD (Eighty Thousand US Dollars) for Lot-I, and 8,000 USD (Eight Thousand US Dollars) for Lot-II.
