Objectives of the Side Events: 

The objectives of the side event are to deliberate the following:  

  1. How countries, international development partners, and MDBs can approach climate change adaptation in a way to reduce impacts on climate sensitive drivers of conflict. 
  2. Ways to improve the localisation agenda for climate change adaptation in fragile and conflict affected contexts to strengthen resilience. 
  3. Ways to support the call to enable finance for climate change adaptation in conflict settings. 
  4. Impact of creating sustainable jobs to support youth in context which are both economic and livelihood fragile and experiencing climate change. 
  5. Sharing lessons learned from entrepreneurs and young innovators who are on the frontline of this important effort.  

Event Outcomes

The expected outcomes of the side event are:  

  1. Views and experiences on how countries, international partners, and MDBs can approach climate change adaptation to reduce impacts on climate-sensitive drivers of conflict shared.
