Adahi Consignment Arrives in Jordan

13.12.2011, Jeddah, KSA –A consignment of 20,000 frozen carcasses of animals utilized during the 2011 Hajj season arrived in Amman, Jordan, on Monday.
The consignment is to be distributed amongst the needy in the framework of the Saudi Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat (Adahi), a charitable and environment- friendly project managed by the Islamic Development Bank since its launch in 1982.
It is expected that around 1.2 million carcasses from the 2011 Hajj season would be distributed amongst the needy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in 24 member countries in Asia and Africa.
Earlier, the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group extended gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their continued support to the project.
