Consultative Meeting on WTO Issues for the OIC Member Countries' Permanent Missions in Geneva

Within the framework of its WTO-related Technical Assistance Programme for the OIC Member Countries which comprises short trade policy courses of three- week duration, subject-specific seminars, workshops, symposia, consultative meetings on the eve of WTO ministerial conferences, studies on selected WTO-agreements and expert missions on accession issues and other related matters, the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) is organizing a consultative meeting on WTO issues for the OIC member countries' permanent missions, in Geneva, on 5 February 2007. The IDB's WTO-related Technical Assistance Programme for the OIC Member countries.

Among other things, the meeting will discuss the current Status of Negotiations of the Doha Development Agenda and take stock and review the IDB’s WTO-related Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Programmes. It is expected that the meeting will be attended by the Ambassadors and Representatives of the OIC Member Countries in Geneva and senior officials from international and regional Organizations.
