Paris, France, 18 September 2026 – H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, met with H.E. Mr. Khaled El-Enany, Director-General of UNESCO, at UNESCO Headquarters to discuss ways to strengthen strategic cooperation between the two institutions.

The meeting focused on deepening the long-standing IsDB–UNESCO partnership, particularly in addressing critical global development challenges. The two leaders discussed key areas of mutual interest, including youth development, education, skills development, and strengthening resilience across their shared regions.

Both leaders also explored advanced mechanisms to drive progress through science, technology, and innovation. The session concluded with a commitment to translate these shared high-level priorities into tangible, country-level initiatives that deliver measurable impact for member countries.
