IsDB President to Address Africa's Transformation and Global Financial Reform at AfDB Annual Meetings

Nairobi, Kenya (May 27, 2024) - The President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, will attend the 60th Anniversary Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Nairobi, Kenya on May 29, 2024. Dr. Al Jasser's agenda includes a keynote address and panel participation focused on driving Africa's economic transformation.

Keynote Address: "Africa's Transformation, the AfDB, and Global Financial Reform"

In this high-level presidential dialogue, Dr. Al Jasser will share his vision for Africa's economic transformation, the role of the AfDB, and the pressing need for reforming the global financial architecture to better support developing economies.

Dr. Al Jasser will join fellow leaders of Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) in a fireside chat examining collaborative strategies to accelerate Africa's sustainable development priorities, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the African Union's Agenda 2063.

The IsDB President's agenda underscores the Bank's firm commitment to Africa's economic empowerment and its global advocacy for a more equitable international financial system.
