Media Advisory - IsDB President Morocco Visit to Bolster Global Partnerships and Sustainable Initiatives
Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 07 October 2023 – The President of Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, will be leading a delegation to the Kingdom of Morocco from 9th to 20th October 2023. This visit underscores the bank’s unwavering commitment to fostering collaborative relationships and advancing sustainable development initiatives across its member countries.
Dr. Al Jasser’s visit will commence with participation in the World Bank/International Monetary Fund (WB/IMF) Annual Meetings in the vibrant city of Marrakech. These meetings will serve as a platform for Dr. Al Jasser to engage in insightful bilateral discussions with senior high-level officials from various international financial institutions. The dialogues will navigate through critical global challenges, including but not limited to, food security, climate adaptation, and sustaining job opportunities amongst others. Furthermore, Dr. Al Jasser will partake in bilateral talks with officials from IsDB member countries, ensuring a harmonized approach towards shared objectives and concerns.
In the subsequent phase of the mission, Dr. Al Jasser will traverse through various regions of Morocco, visiting IsDB-supported projects to assess their impact and progression. This exploration aims to assess and comprehend the tangible impact and progression of these initiatives, ensuring that they align with IsDB’s mission of social and economic development. The project visits will culminate in a bilateral talk with the leadership of the Kingdom. These talks are anticipated to not only strengthen existing ties but also explore new avenues for collaboration, thereby fortifying the long-standing relationship between the IsDB and Morocco.
