As preparations advance in Baku to host the 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings, H.E. Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the IsDB Board of Governors, accompanied by H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, IsDB Group Chairman, visited the Baku Convention Center to review final arrangements ahead of the event. During the visit, they met with the organizing committee and assessed readiness to welcome delegates from across IsDB’s 57 member countries.

Held from 16 to 19 June 2026 under the theme “Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity,” the Annual Meetings will convene ministers of finance, economy, international development, and planning, alongside development partners and private sector leaders, to discuss shared development priorities and advance practical solutions to key socio-economic challenges facing member countries.

The program will feature meetings of the Boards of Governors, a flagship fireside chat with the IsDB Group Chairman, the Governors’ Dialogue, the IsDB Group Private Sector Forum, the Multilateral Development Banks’ Business Opportunities Forum, the Arab Coordination Group Private Sector Session, as well as a series of high-level roundtables, networking opportunities, exhibitions, and knowledge-sharing events. Discussions will cover major development priorities, including Islamic finance, trade and connectivity, youth employability, climate resilience, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, Sukuk, innovation, health security, and social protection systems.

The visit to the Baku Convention Center underscores the strong partnership between the IsDB Group and the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is hosting the Annual Meetings for the second time. It also reflects their shared commitment to delivering a successful event that advances cooperation, connectivity, and sustainable development across IsDB member countries.
