The 6th Meeting of the IDB Women’s Advisory Panel starts today in Uganda

The 6th Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Women’s Advisory Panel started today in Kampala, Uganda, 2 – 4 November 2010, under the patronage of the Hon. Mrs. Janet Museveni, wife of the Hon. President of the Republic of Uganda.

The Meeting was inaugurated by Hon. Syda Bbumba, minister of Economic Planning and Finance (IDB Governor) and a member of the Panel.

Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President, IDB Group delivered a keynote address on this occasion.

The Panel, established in 2004, is comprised of 12 eminent women who advise the Bank on how the adequately mainstream women in the socio-economic development process of its member countries.
