The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Thanks the Islamic Development Bank

Jeddah, 9.6.2012 : After receiving a copy of the 37th Annual Report of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for the year 1432H (2011 G), the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, sent a cable to the IDB President, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali to express his thanks and appreciation to him and to the IDB staff. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also appealed to Allah Almighty to grant the IDB all success to achieve its goals.
In his letter transmitting the annual report to the King, Dr. Ali had expressed the pride of the IDB for the continuing support and generous care it has been getting from the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The IDB President’s letter had also underlined that the Bank’s total approvals for the year 1432H (2011G) amounted to US$ (8.2) billion (equivalent to approximately SR31.1 billion) for the financing of about (398) operations in member countries and Islamic communities in non-member countries. This brought the cumulative total approved by the Bank Group until the end of 1432 H, to approximately US$ (78) billion (equivalent to about SR292.5 billion).
