Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, 2 September 2021 – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) launched three Economic Empowerment Toolkits during the 2021 IsDB Group Annual meetings in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
In its mid-July meeting, the Board of Executive Directors approved more than US$ 683 million for financing power generation projects in Morocco, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Iran and Tajikistan as part of US$1,158 million financing approvals, the largest ever accorded to member countries by a single session of the Board.. ... Other energy sector approvals in the Board meeting were US$ 100 million to modernize and expand hydro-power plants in Uzbekistan and US$ 185 million for the North-West Region Electric Power Transmission Project in Iran, which aims to improve heavy electricity transfer grid in the country’s East Azarbaijan, West Azarbaijan and Ardabil provinces.
Jeddah, KSA, 10.03.2015 – The 303rd meeting of the Board of Executive Directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) which ended on Tuesday approved more than US $718.6 million of funding for development projects in member countries in such important sectors as roads, power generation, water supply and sanitation, agriculture, and rural development in Turkey, Sultanate of Oman, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Cote d'Ivoire, Benin, and Yemen as well as a technical assistance for Bahrain. ...
