Upgrading of Tirinyi- Pallisa- Kumi (67km)  and Pallisa- Kamonkoli (44km) Roads in Uganda

The overarching development objective of the project was to facilitate the socio-economic development by upgrading the existing earthen/gravel roads to improve road safety, meet the present and future transportation demands and enhance the overall efficiency of road transport system.

The project consisted of the upgrading of 111.25km existing earthen/gravel roadways between Tirinyi to

Kumi and Pallisa to Kamonkoli to asphaltic paved road standard.

As results, the project contributed to

  1. Reduce travel time, operational cost and economic losses;
  2. Increase comfort, safety and reliability during travel;
  3. Meet current and future transport demands; and  (e)
  4. Help accelerate economic activities by improving access of people to social amenities, market places, business and employment opportunities resulting from improved internal and sub-regional connectivity.

Roads are completed and opened for the happiness of road users and population living around.
