Adahi Consignment Reaches Sudan

07.06.2011, Jeddah, KSA – A consignment of ten thousand frozen carcasses of livestock utilized during the last Hajj season which arrived at Port Sudan, Sudan, over the week is expected to be distributed shortly under the supervision of an IDB delegation.
Since the last Hajj season, IDB has been distributing nearly 700,000 frozen carcasses of Adahi meat amongst the needy in 24 Muslim countries in Asia and Africa as well as the needy in the Holy City of Makkah through 270 charity institutions in the Kingdom. Under the distribution plan, nearly 231 thousand carcasses were distributed overseas.
President of the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali expressed his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince as well as the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their support towards this project facilitating the access of millions of less privileged Muslims around the world to utilize Adahi meat.
IDB has initiated several well-structured plans to facilitate global access of Muslims to all Adahi services which could be accessed through its website www.adahi.com throughout the year.
