Azerbaijan to Host 2026 IsDB Group Annual Meetings in Baku
Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 7 May 2026 – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group will hold its 2026 Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, from 16 to 19 June 2026.
Held under the High Patronage of H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, this marks the second time in the past 15 years that the country will host the IsDB’s flagship international gathering, bringing together high-level decision makers from across the IsDB Group’s 57 Member Countries and partners worldwide.
The Meetings will be held under the theme “Regional Integration for Sustainable Prosperity” and will convene IsDB Group Governors comprising ministers of finance, economy, international development, and planning, alongside key global development players, leaders of multilateral and bilateral development institutions, Islamic finance experts, private sector representatives, non‑governmental organizations, academia, and media.
The Annual Meetings serve as a premier platform to deliberate on key development issues affecting Member Countries, while fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships. The program will feature statutory meetings of the Boards of Governors, the IsDB Group Private Sector Forum, high-level roundtables, and dynamic knowledge sharing sessions that highlight critical development priorities.
The theme is particularly timely as regional integration presents promising development pathways and brings sustainable and efficient solutions to growing and complex development challenges . It aligns with the Islamic Development Bank Group’s Ten-Year Strategic Framework (2026–2035), highlighting regional integration as a key driver of resilient, inclusive and sustainable growth across Member Countries.
