Hajj Meat Consignment Arrives in Jordan

Jeddah, KSA, 15.12.2012 - A consignment of 20,000 frozen carcasses of sheep utilized during the Hajj season 2012 arrived in Amman, Jordan, for distribution among the needy in the country as part of the Saudi Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat (Adahi).

According to the distribution plan for the season, it is expected that carcasses of 993,000 heads of livestock be distributed amongst the needy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as well as 24 other nations in Asia and Africa in cooperation with 270 charity institutions.

On the occasion, Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President of the Islamic Development Bank expressed thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their support to the project.
