IsDB Group Announces US$2.56 Billion Indicative Financing Envelope for Indonesia’s 2026–2030 Partnership Strategy
Jakarta, Indonesia, 8 October 2026 – The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group today launched its 2026–2030 Member Country Partnership Strategy (MCPS) for the Republic of Indonesia, supported by an indicative financing envelope of approximately US$2.56 billion. Developed with the Government of Indonesia, the MCPS will guide the IsDB Group’s support for the country’s development priorities over the next five years.
The strategy was launched at the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta by H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the IsDB Group; H.E. Dr. Suahasil Nazara, Minister of Finance of Indonesia and IsDB Governor; and H.E. Mr. Febrian Ruddyard, Vice Minister of National Development Planning, who represented the Minister of National Development Planning and Head of BAPPENAS.
Titled “Supporting Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Transformation for a Prosperous and Resilient Indonesia,” the strategy has two pillars. The first—Infrastructure for Connectivity, Resilience, and Industrial Upgrading—focuses on transport and connectivity, food resilience and agriculture, sustainable fisheries and the blue economy, and energy security and transition. The second—Developing the Workforce for Indonesia’s Next Stage of Transformation—focuses on stronger health systems and expanded education and skills development.
Islamic finance, climate action, and the empowerment of women and youth are embedded across both pillars. The MCPS aligns with Indonesia’s National Medium-Term Development Plan (2025–2029) and the IsDB Group Ten-Year Strategic Framework (2026–2035).
Speaking at the ceremony, H.E. Dr. Al Jasser stressed that the IsDB Group’s contribution extends beyond financing. The strategy will combine sovereign financing, private sector investment, trade finance, guarantees, insurance, Islamic finance, technical assistance, and knowledge solutions to advance Indonesia’s development priorities, with a strong focus on project readiness and implementation quality.
The MCPS builds on more than five decades of cooperation and approximately US$7.2 billion in cumulative IsDB Group approvals for Indonesia. Through 2030, the partnership aims to strengthen connectivity, improve the resilience of food and energy systems, and expand opportunities for women and youth.
