IsDB Group Chairman and Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Discuss Next Phase of Cooperation
Jakarta, Indonesia, 8 October 2026 – H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, met with H.E. Dr. Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, to review the current IsDB Group portfolio in Indonesia and discuss ways to deepen cooperation under the new 2026–2030 Member Country Partnership Strategy.
The meeting discussed the pipeline of transformative projects in priority areas such as connectivity, health, education, food security, and energy, with a focus on advancing cooperation in support of Indonesia’s national development priorities.
H.E. Dr. Al Jasser reaffirmed the IsDB Group’s commitment to working closely with the Government of Indonesia.
The meeting built on more than five decades of partnership between Indonesia and the IsDB Group, with approximately US$7.2 billion in cumulative IsDB Group approvals.
Together, we are moving from financing individual projects to building programmatic solutions at scale, supporting Indonesia’s aspiration for a more connected, productive, resilient, and inclusive economy.
