IsDB to participate in the 10th World Water Forum in Bali, Indonesia

Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 17 May 2024 - The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is pleased to announce its participation in the 10th World Water Forum on the theme" Water for Shared Prosperity", which will take place in Bali, Indonesia, from May 18-25, 2024. The World Water Forum is the largest global event on water and sanitation, bringing together thousands of stakeholders from various sectors and regions to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices on water-related issues.

IsDB, a leading development partner in the water sector, will be at the forefront of the Forum, organizing crucial sessions such as 'ACCELERATING SAFELY MANAGED SANITATION IN LOW-INCOME COMMUNITIES (LICS): LESSON LEARNED FROM ASIA AND AFRICA' and contributing to other sessions around water financing, capacity building in the sector, irrigation, and drainage, etc.

The Bank's delegation, led by Mr. Amer BUKVIC, Director of the Bank's Regional Office in Jakarta, and Mr. Idrissa Dia, a seasoned development professional and Director of the Economic & Social Infrastructure Department, will showcase the Bank's achievements, initiatives, and innovations in promoting water security and sustainability in its member countries and beyond.
