UNICEF and the Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund (AHTF) – mandated by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) - have announced the completion of the project "Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Water Supply Services in Remote Rural Communities" in Afghanistan.
More than 17,000 babies and young children have been treated for severe acute malnutrition (SAM) in Kandahar province in south Afghanistan thanks to a co-ordinated humanitarian relief effort funded by the King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center (KSrelief) via the Afghanistan Humanitarian Trust Fund (AHTF) which operates under the management of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).
On behalf of the Hon. President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ahmed Farooq, awarded H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group, the “Hilal-I-Quaid-I-Azam” Medal at the IsDB headquarters in Jeddah.
