Turkey’s Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group co-host a high-level consultative workshop in Ankara reviewing the country’s “integration into global and regional value chains.”
Officials from various Ministries, the Central Bank of Turkey, as well as major development and business players in Ankara attended a technical meeting rolling out IsDB Group President's 5 year Program (P5P) and New Business Model in Turkey. According to Mr. Salah Jelassi, Regional Manager, IsDB Group Regional Hub, Turkey (RHTR), "the Republic of Turkey is a perfect fit for the IsDB Group in developing a blueprint for integrating and mainstreaming the Global Value Chains (GVC) approach in other IsDB member country partnership strategies under the Bank’s new business model.”
The consultative workshop came in line with the Global Agenda 2030 as the IsDB remains at the forefront of addressing diverse challenges faced by its member countries in various economic and social sectors.
“I want to encourage innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs from all across Turkey to engage with IsDB Group’s ENGAGE online platform to solve development challenges through innovative partnerships,” H.E. Dr. Bandar Hajjar tells a crowd of nearly 300 Turkish private sector leaders, elite traders, industrialists, entrepreneurs and investors in Izmir.
