Hajj Meat Consignment Arrives in Sudan

27.02.2012, Jeddah, KSA – Two consignments of 5000 frozen carcasses of livestock each arriving at Port Sudan and Khartoum City from the 2011 (1432H) Hajj season are expected to be distributed among the needy under the supervision of an IDB delegation.
These consignments are part of the Saudi Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat (Adahi) managed by the IDB. Nearly 1 million carcasses from the 2011 Hajj season are being distributed inside KSA and 24 other countries in Asia and Africa.
Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, President, IDB, expressed appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince and the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the continued support to the project which benefits millions of needy around the world each year.
