The Awqaf Property Investment Fund Extends US$ (7.5) Million for the Development of Endowment Plot in Khartoum

An agreement for the development of an endowment plot in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, totaling US$ (7.5) million, was signed today between the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Al Majzoub Organization for the Service of the Holy Quran in Khartoum.

The agreement was signed, at the IDB headquarters in Jeddah, by H.E. Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, the President of the Islamic Development Bank Group and H.E. Professor Mubarak Mohamed Ali Majzoub, Chairman of Al Majzoub Organization for the Service of the Holy Quran. The project, which is located in Al Roabi Area in Khartoum with an area of 1519 square meters, includes the construction of a residential building and leasing it in favor of the Organization.
During the signing ceremony, Professor Al Majzoub praised the role of the Awqaf Property Investment Fund under the management of the IDB for its role in developing the endowments in member countries and reviving its historical role in promoting social development. He also stressed their eagerness to complete the project on time.
