Procurement Workshop Conducted by ARIS

The Community Development and Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic (ARIS) is implementing a number of projects funded by the donor organizations aimed at improving access to social and economic infrastructure, increasing the capacity of communities and local self-governments in villages and cities.

In effort to expand the participation of suppliers, contractors and consultants, as well as to ensure openness, transparency and competition of bidders during projects implementation, ARIS organized online workshop for the representatives of business communities on 25 March 2021.

The workshop was attended by over 70 participants covering private sector companies - design institutes, construction companies, commercial banks, insurance companies, etc.

The workshop was opened by Mrs. Irina Goncharova, Procurement specialist of the World Bank Country Office in Bishkek, and Br. Ilkhom Yakubjanov, IsDB, Field Procurement Officer of the PPR Division.

Presentation was made by ARIS Deputy Director, Mrs. Asel Mambetkulova about the projects being implemented and bidding opportunities. ARIS also presented their new website that provides access to all procurement notices and bidding documents without fee provided that the bidders get registered. Participants showed key interest in learning about the procedures of MDBs – World Bank and IsDB.
