IDBG Participates in ASEAN G2B Infrastructure Investment Forum 2016

Jakarta - The Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), in coordination with the Government of Indonesia and the ASEAN Secretariat, hosted the ASEAN G2B Infrastructure Investment Forum 2016 with the theme of “Enabling the Private Sector’s Participation within the Masterplan for ASEAN Connectivity 2015” in Jakarta on 8 November 2016.

The Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), in coordination with the Government of Indonesia and the ASEAN Secretariat, hosted the ASEAN G2B Infrastructure Investment Forum 2016 with the theme of “Enabling the Private Sector’s Participation within the Masterplan for ASEAN Connectivity 2015” in Jakarta on 8 November 2016. The Forum aimed at addressing critical challenges and opportunities for partnering with Indonesia in delivering over 1/3 of the projected spend (USD 1.3 trillion) required across Indonesia as outlined within the Master Plan for ASEAN Connectivity 2025 (MPAC 2025).

H.E. the Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla, inaugurated the event attended by high-level government officials, diplomatic representatives, and business communities. In the main panel discussion titled “Infrastructure Overview within MPAC 2015”, IDB Group CGO Indonesia Resident Representative, Ibrahim Shoukry, shared the Group’s view on investment opportunity forecast, its project interest and the obstacles in implementing the MPAC 2025. Other speakers include Vice President Policy and Strategy of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Assistant Deputy of Housing, Land and Infrastructure Financing, Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs of Republic of Indonesia, and Head of ASEAN Connectivity Division, ASEAN Secretariat as moderator.

A delegate of IDB Group senior staffs attended the event followed by the Indonesia Infrastructure Week 2016, an annual conference and exhibition for infrastructure stakeholders and decision makers, held from 9-11 November 2016.
