IsDB RHI site visit to a manufacturing facility at CG Power, in Cileungsi, West Java, Indonesia.
On November 13th, 2019, the Islamic Development Bank RHI team visited the headquarters of PT CG Power Systems in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia as part of the IsDB Financed Project with PLN. The IsDB through the Open Book Procurement method has approved 6 electric transformer manufacturers in Indonesia to manufacture and deliver 267 transformers for the Power Grid Enhancement Project. The 267 transformers will be shipped to substations through the country to enhance the electrical grid toward the improvement of electric energy transmission throughout the country. PT CG Power Systems as a result of this project has improved their manufacturing capacity and has directly benefited from this project and as a result has sustained hundreds of high tech manufacturing jobs.
The main purpose was to ensure proper project implementation and follow up during the manufacturing process. To proactively engage in dialogue with the Manufacturer to solve issues that may delay project implementation.
